Growing kitchen cabinet manufacturer specializing in high-end single family projects is looking for a Skilled Kitchen Cabinet Craftsperson to produce custom cabinets needed to meet the production requirements related to a full schedule of projects in the coming year. This is an exciting career opportunity for someone with a passion for custom residential and commercial kitchen cabinetmaking that thrives in a team environment and who can support our vision to propel us to the next phase of expansion and development as an organization.

To fully qualify for and be successful in this position you must have: 

  • 2-3 years’ experience making custom kitchen cabinets/millwork with proven skills in wood machining, joinery, assembly, veneering and surface preparation for completion in the finishing department.
  • Completion of Joinery or Carpenter Certificate (Red Seal) from a recognized educational program.
  • Advanced joinery skills to produce cabinets with the ornate custom features expected in top quality kitchen projects such as custom range hoods, islands and custom millwork.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineered drawings.
  • Proficient with project specifications and measurements.
  • Experience working with laminates, MDF and solid wood to make high quality commercial cabinets/millwork, using standard (non-CNC) machines and proven assembly techniques.
  • Knowledge of and experience with related material handling and woodworking tools and equipment.
  • A proven track record for reliability and attention to detail.
  • An ability to work as part of a team to complete projects and resolve production challenges as they arise
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general
  • Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude, teamwork and cooperation.

This is a stable, full time job offering a competitive hourly pay rate and a good benefits program. The hours of work are day shift only. The production plant is well organized, spacious and operates efficiently year round to meet local market demand.
