As a result we are looking for a qualified and experienced Edgebander/CNC Operator that can lead a team of proven performers to ensure that all production goals are met reliably, safely and efficiently.

To fully qualify for and be successful in this position you must have:

  • Recent production edgebanding experience within a cabinet or millwork manufacturing operation using a high volume edgebander such as Brandt, Homag, SCM  or similar.
  • Ability to set up for different edge materials, and thicknesses and make adjustments as required to produce a high quality product consistently and efficiently.
  • Recent production experience running a CNC machining centre to produce wood products or components preferably within a cabinet or millwork manufacturing operation.
  • Experience programming CNC routers (or point to point machining centres) for high volume production of cabinet components. (Examples of comparable machines include Biesse, Morbidelli, Homag, SCM, Thermwood).
  • Proficiency with specifications, measurements and machine settings.
  • Ability to maintain optimum machine performance and ensure the longevity of the unit with day to day maintenance and cleaning as required.
  • A proven track record for reliability and attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills with an ability to work collaboratively within a team to resolve production challenges as they arise
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the safety of yourself and others at all times through best practices on the production floor and in the workplace in general
  • Ability to maintain and promote a positive attitude, teamwork and cooperation.
